Logistics Lead

We are seeking a detail-oriented person with a strong work ethic and servant's heart to lead our Logistics volunteer team. This team works behind the scenes to create and enhance the environments of The Ark Church.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Oversee, manage time, delegate, and actively participate in setting up, dismantling, and cleaning for events, meetings, and other activities (including long-term project tasks)
  • Create, communicate, and maintain daily to-do lists and actively participate in the Logistics volunteer team's morning meetings to ensure safe, timely, and efficient task completion
  • Perform detailed walkthrough checks of the entire facility before services
  • Regularly perform daily tasks that require heavy lifting, such as transporting boxes, furniture, etc.


Work Hours:

  • Part-time, hourly-based schedule of approximately 24 hours per week
  • Typically Monday – Thursday, but flexible for special events
  • May include occasional weekends

Logistics Administrative Assistant

The ideal candidate for this part-time position possesses a ministry mindset while also being action-oriented. This person will be responsible for building relationships with volunteers and vendors, as well as completing necessary tasks. Working under the Logistics Coordinator, they will facilitate smooth communication between all departments to ensure great environments for The Ark Church.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    • Oversee maintaining, purchasing, inventorying, receiving, and distribution of equipment and supplies
    • Manage the department budget, reimbursements, vendor payments, etc.
    • Maintain and document the inventory of departmental resources, both on and off-site
    • Conduct research and organize reports for varied projects
    • Review and maintain written and computer files, plus conduct data entry
    • Assist with large event preparation
  • Volunteer Communication:
    • Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit new team members
    • Train new Logistics volunteers (we oversee several small teams that assist with various operational tasks)
    • Coordinate with volunteers to ensure smooth weekly operations
    • Schedule and follow up with volunteers for special event coverage
  • Cultivate an outlook to offer safe, appealing, engaging, and helpful environments in all situations


Work Hours:

  • Part-time, approximately 16-18 hours per week
  • Monday – Thursday




IT Systems Administrator

We seek an IT Systems Administrator who is passionate about participating in the planning, set-up, operation, and maintenance of all IT-related hardware and software. This person will work under the Technical Director to bring excellence, execution, and leadership to the IT Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline internal operations
  • Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve attendee experience
  • Maintain and oversee the function of public-facing technology, including web-based software, POS systems, and web kiosks
  • Administrate infrastructure, including networking equipment, data storage, wired/wireless access, virtual and remote assets, and other processes.
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways The Ark can improve
  • Maintain a ‘customer-first’ mentality by operating with a sense of urgency and service to others
  • Maintain and monitor on-prem Firewalls, Application Servers, Network Devices, Switches, and AP’s
  • Maintain and Install network equipment, Racks, Cabling, and Servers
  • Maintain and update network and infrastructure documentation for IT staff
  • Oversight and maintenance of on-prem phone system.
  • Provide internal analysis and support in relation to network capacity, uptime, future planning, and performance
  • Document procedures for and coordinate execution of general administration, such as adding and configuring new users, managing backups, etc.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for escalated helpdesk requests
  • Work with volunteers
  • All other duties as needed/assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of network administration or system administration experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, projects, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to learn new technology systems quickly and efficiently
  • Administration Experience with Microsoft 365 platform and services, including but not limited to Azure Portal, Intune, AAD, Azure SQL DB, Azure VMs, and Azure Networking
  • Experience with Windows Server Administration 2016 & 2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, Group Policy
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Experience supporting Apple devices including macOS, iOS & iPadOS, and Apple MDM
  • Experience supporting, maintaining, and configuring Windows and Linux Servers
  • Experience supporting Ubiquiti network equipment is preferred; a comprehensive understanding of network protocols and design is required
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • A willingness to work with a small, dynamic team in a fast-paced, fast-growing environment
  • Usage and understanding of modern web and mobile applications
  • Ability to demonstrate Christian faith and values in all aspects of work

Bonus Experience:
  • Industry Certifications, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Net+ etc.
  • Scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, Azure CLI
  • C#, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL
  • Rock RMS church management platform experience

Work Hours: Sunday-Thursday, Services, plus Special Events as required
